Blue Ashes

Silent tears run down my face,
blue ones, like an ocean deep,
I shiver, cringe, doubtfully gaze
upon what's left; I freely weep.

My home, my joy, my pride and own,
the places that were oh so blest,
are ruins now, the beauty's gone
blue blazing ashes is all they left.

My newest artwork done with watercolors and markers! Part of my "Nature is crying"-series. It is a commission for a lovely person here on dA, thus the original painting is SOLD.

I tried to imitate the look of blaze / glowing ashes at the bottom of the Panda, to point towards the vanishing of the species, like a fire that is about to be burned out. A subtle glow was added in Photoshop.

Materials used: ALPHA markers, Schmincke watercolors, white gel pen
